Sorry we haven’t updated in a while but it’s been majorly hectic the past few weeks for My Great Affliction.
On the 9th March we visited Gavin Monaghan at Magic Garden Recording Studios and laid down 3 of our newest tracks. We’re stupidly excited about getting them out to you, but we want it done right, so we’ve been working hard to get the packaging just right, release sorted and the right people behind us to get it infront of the people who need to see and hear it.
We also had the pleasure of Sam Fourness, a great camera man share company with us on the 9th, so we have lots of footage of us in the recording studio which we have been compiling over the last few weeks. We’ll have something ready to preview shortly!
Sorted is the recording to be released to all the major digital download locations, itunes, spotify, napster, tesco, amazonmp3. We will be announcing the release date shortly.
So with all this preparation, we’ve barely had chance to do much else, but we did manage to go out twice this last week to play gigs! We played at Lucy’s Bar, Hednesford with Questions of Angels which was great, and we all had a good time! Then this weekend we have been chilling out in a little village in wales called Llanidloes, where we capped off the first night of the first ever Powys Tattoo Convention. It was a fantastic evening and we all had a great night. Probably our best performance to date, but don’t let that fool you into thinking we’ll rest on our laurels… We’re just getting warmed up…
See you at a gig soon!
